Senior Marine Design Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Marine Design Engineer to join our team and work as an expert in our customer projects. You will be joining a team which expertise covers shipbuilding in various vessel types, marine industry components and systems, as well as electrical and automation systems.
About the role
As a Marine Senior Design Engineer, you will:
- Take technical design responsibility for ship machinery systems
- Participate in engineering projects from concept design to detailed design
- Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and P&IDs
- Support project teams by providing technical expertise
- Play a key role in developing our business and designing future solutions in close cooperation with colleagues, customers, and the entire value chain
What we are looking for
You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering and have experience in marine machinery design. You are specialized in one of the following areas:
- Piping system design
- Machinery 3D design
- Cable route 3D design
- Machinery ventilation design, including heating/cooling arrangements
- Lifting arrangements or deck outfitting
To succeed in this role, you have:
- Solid knowledge and design experience of ship machinery
- Experience in creating P&IDs
- Skills in 3D design, project engineering, and process equipment dimensioning
- Good knowledge of AVEVA E3D, Cadmatic, and Autocad 2D design
- Understanding of marine engineering, manufacturing technologies, and marine rules
We value a proactive and initiative-driven mindset as well as strong teamwork skills. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Finnish language skills are considered an advantage. Ability to travel on short assignments is also required. This position is located in Vantaa or Turku.
