We are looking for a Marine Senior Design Engineer to work as an expert in our customer projects.

This position will be located in Comatec Industrial and Marine Oy. Comatec Industrial and Marine Oy is part of Comatec Group. Comatec Industrial and Marine Oy´s areas of expertise include electrical equipment and systems, marine industry components and systems, various vessels produced in the shipbuilding industry, machinery and equipment for the process industry, and automation systems for the manufacturing and marine industries.

 In this role you will have technical design responsibility of ship machinery systems or processes. You will also be responsible for communication with clients, subcontractors, material suppliers. In this role you will have a key role in developing our business and designing its future solutions in close co-operation with colleagues, internal and external customers, and the whole value chain.

You have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechanical or process engineering and you have experience in marine machinery design. You are specialized in one of the following areas: machinery 3D design, piping system design, machinery ventilation design including heating/cooling arrangements, power plant arrangements, lifting arrangements or deck outfitting.

Good knowledge and design experience of ship machinery or process equipment as well as creating P&IDs is required in this role. You have experience in 3D design and project engineering and ability to perform process equipment dimensionin and good knowledge of Autocad 2D design. You have knowledge of marine engineering and manufacturing technologies and marine rules. In this position Proactive and initiative working attitude and good teamwork skills are needed. Good command of English language is required, both written and verbal. Finnish language skills are seen as a bonus. Ability to short-term travelling is requested in this position. This position can be located in Turku or Vantaa depending on your own will.
