Process Engineer, Wastewater Treatment Systems
Are you passionate about designing smart process systems and contributing to sustainable solutions for the marine and wastewater industries?
We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing team in Brașov. In this role, you'll take part in designing advanced wastewater treatment systems and supporting project delivery from early concept work to commissioning.
What You’ll Do
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of wastewater treatment systems. Your responsibilities include:
Designing and developing process systems, layouts, and treatment process configurations
Selecting and dimensioning process equipment and components (pumps, blowers, conveyors, instruments, valves)
Drafting and maintaining P&IDs (Visio, AutoCAD) and ensuring consistent documentation throughout project phases
Preparing process descriptions, functional specifications, and operational documentation
Identifying critical process points, bottlenecks, and improvement needs
Ensuring compliance with industry standards, environmental requirements, and relevant certifications
Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Supporting commissioning phases and providing technical guidance to internal teams and customers
What We Expect from You
Background in process engineering and a few years of hands-on experience in wastewater, water treatment, or marine systems
Experience in process design, including equipment specification and developing PFDs/P&IDs
Strong ability to read and create P&IDs, including flow paths, instrumentation, and process logic
Knowledge of process equipment (pumps, blowers, valves, instruments)
Proficiency with Visio, AutoCAD, and Excel
Strong communication skills in English
Good understanding of biological, chemical, or physical treatment processes is considered a plus
